Silicone is an amazing material for adult toys for many reasons, not the least of which is the variety of firmness! But all these variations can also be confusing.

silicone is extremely soft and great for extra thick and girthy toys.  Very squishy. 

Note: Not really recommended for anal toys as it will be harder to insert

silicone has a lot of “give” to it but holds its shape, similar to slack muscle. If you need a bit of give for comfort or more flexibility, this can be a good option.

silicone is close to the firmness of a flexed muscle – a bit of give and a little flexibility but quite solid.
